Lead-in-Water Annual Notification
Minnesota Statute 121A.335 requires public school buildings serving pre-kindergarten through grade 12 to test for lead in water every 5 years. Pipestone Area Schools have historically conducted and continues to conduct Lead in Drinking Water testing per the Minnesota Department of Health guidelines. If found, the District remediates lead levels following the Minnesota Department of Health guidelines and completes retesting prior to use.
Pipestone Area School’s is committed to providing a safe and healthful learning and work environment for all of our students and staff. In accordance with Minnesota Statute 121A.335, the Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota Department of Education, Pipestone Area Schools have implemented its Lead in Water Plan. The Plan includes a program of lead in water testing, lead hazard reduction options and communications.
Pipestone Area School’s performs lead in water testing in school buildings every five years. The testing reports for individual schools are available below. Reports are also available by contacting the District Office at (507) 562-6068.
