Scholarships

Students looking to participate in a Division I or II collegiate sport should register with the NCAA Eligibility Center during their junior year of high school. Students must request their ACT scores to be forwarded directly to the center by entering code "9999" as a reporting selection when registering for the test. For more information go to www.ncaa.org

DEADLINE: December 15, 2017 - 2017 Burger King Scholarship: High School seniors can apply to receive up to $50,000 in scholarship awards in the 2018-19 school year!  High School seniors must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale to be eligible and must be active in their community through volunteering, sports, clubs and/or religious organizations.  Apply today at:  WWW.BK-SCHOLARS.COM

 

DEADLINE: December 31, 2017 - 2017 Future of Assisted Living Scholarship: SeniorAdvisor.com, the premier ratings and reviews site for senior services providers nationwide, is proud to announce our fourth annual scholarship for advancement in higher education. This is a general scholarship which will award each of the selected applicants with a scholarship award of $2,000. This scholarship will be awarded to students enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec) during the academic year. Guidelines for Applicants:Please include the following three items in your submission:
*250 word maximum introductory bio about yourself – you may choose to include your work or educational background, why you're seeking a degree in your field, and why this scholarship interested you.
*500-750 word essay response to the question: How can your major of study improve the lives of seniors in assisted living facilities in your town?
*Signed and dated Scholarship Award Agreement.

Scholarship award recipients will be announced by January 31, 2018.

DEADLINE: January 12, 2018 - Sioux Valley Energy - Applications are available in the counseling office.  Eligibility includes: completing application, providing a high school transcript with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, copy of ACT and/or SAT scores, a written essay, and a letter of reference.

DEADLINE: January 12, 2018 - Sioux Valley Energy Power Line Scholarship Program - This scholarship is for students interested in pursuing the power line work field.  Applications are available in the counseling office.

DEADLINE: February 15, 2018 - Flavorful Futures Scholarship: Sparkling Ice will award five (5) Scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each, Awards will be given to students who demonstrate how they are authentic, unique and how they see their Be Not Blad future.  Applications may be submitted digitally, with submissions including short anwers and videos.  Applications will be evauluated based not only on academic achievement but on the creativity of student submissions.  The scholarship is inteneded to showcase what makes the reipients who they are and how they place to contribute gifts through futher education.  Apply online at Apply Here

DEADLINE: February 28, 2018   Parentinn's Scholarship 2016 has achieved a major impact on raising awareness of Cyberbullying to all students, we decided to increase the prize pool up $2500 this year. DEADLINE: June 19, 2018 BigSun Scholarship - The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in. Varsity Tutors Scholarship Contest Description - Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Visitors to the Varsity Tutors scholarship webpage are able to vote via social media for submitted entries. The top five entries with the most votes are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship.
